About Adam

I’m Adam Suhayda—a software engineer by training, a triathlete by obsession, and a coach by purpose.

Triathlon started as curiosity. I was fascinated by how training and recovery could reshape the body and how small adjustments in volume, intensity, fueling, and sleep created measurable changes in performance. It felt like a laboratory where I could run experiments on myself and see the data come alive.

Over the last decade, that curiosity turned into a deep practice of refinement. I’ve qualified for USAT Age Group Nationals, earned IRONMAN All World Athlete status multiple times, and learned first hand how to balance training with family, work, stress, setbacks, and real life.

My engineering background shapes how I coach: I value systems, feedback loops, clear reasoning, and continuous improvement. But I also know this is about more than numbers. I coach because I love seeing athletes grow into themselves, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. Helping someone realize they’re capable of more than they believed never gets old.

Everything you need to know about coaching

Absolutely! Many of my athletes start from scratch. I'll build a foundation focused plan that teaches proper technique, builds fitness safely, and prepares you for your first race. We start with where you are, not where you think you should be.

It varies based on your goals and current fitness, but most athletes train 8 to 15 hours per week. I design plans around YOUR available time, not some arbitrary ideal. Quality matters more than quantity.

Yes, I use TrainingPeaks for all coaching. It's the industry standard and allows me to track your progress, adjust workouts in real-time, and communicate effectively. The basic plan is included in your coaching fee.

Depends on coaching package, but typically weekly check-ins via TrainingPeaks messages or email. I'm also available for urgent questions as needed. Communication is key to your success.

Monthly coaching starts at $150/month depending on the level of service. See the pricing section below for full details. First consultation is always free.

Yes. I factor in injury history and work within your limitations while building resilience. However, I am not a healthcare professional, and any serious injuries should be managed in consultation with your doctor or physical therapist.

Month-to-month. I want you to stay because the coaching works, not because you're locked in. Most athletes see best results with at least 4-6 months of consistent training.

Absolutely. Race-specific preparation is my specialty. We'll periodize your training to peak at the right time, practice race day nutrition and pacing, and build confidence through structured preparation.
